PM dolphin net play question.

Hello,

I cannot connect to my friends hosted net play.

We were connected and playing together a couple days ago.
No settings have been changed since then, that I know of.

Whenever I try to connect, dolphin just hangs and then said unable to connect. Or something along those lines.

Something I noticed was when we were able to connect and play together, our ID's were never changing.
Today, everytime we host the ID changes.

I have tried purging the cache.
We are running the same version of Dolphin 4.0-652


I am wondering if you guys have experienced this and know a work around for this?

I know Dolphin will hang like that if one of you is not using the netplay build of Dolphin but since you said you both are, then it can't be that..
Your ID shouldn't change unless you physically close out Dolphin, so that's strange that it is randomly changing/not changing.
I'm going to guess it has to do with one of your internet connections. You should both try to play with different people and see who is at fault. For whoever is at fault, they may have to reconfigure your router. This means unblocking UDP or port forwarding. If you need someone to test with I can test with you.

I re installed dolphin, and I am no longer changing ID's on each host.

I'm the one trying to join, I just got in his game, then left to see if I could host. I then said **** it and tried to rejoin his and now I can't join it again. Seems something is causing it to be flaky. It's weird because had it working very easily literally a day ago.

Then it's you that I cannot connect to. Try going to the Dolphin support forum and see if they can help you out as I am not experienced with network issues.
