It has recently come to my attention that despite the (mostly) good behavior of this forum, especially in comparison to the other regional forums, there is one rule that is being broken constantly. That rule is the signature violation.
The way it works is simple; what you post has to be bigger than your sig. So if your post is a single line long (which technically is another thing that you can be infracted for but that rule is more lax in these rooms due to their casual nature), and you include your sig that is 10 lines long, that would be a signature violation.
Of course I didn't know this until yesterday so I haven't been enforcing it very harshly lol...
So basically, if you post something that's only a few lines long, don't include your sig, especially if you're one of the dozens of people that have huge pictures (both static and animated) in your sig.
Since retro-actively going back and infracting everyone for this would be a little harsh I'm going to start sending out warnings on first-offenses starting now. Infractions will follow for repeat offenders.
Hopefully AltF4, Xsyven, Hylian, and other mods who frequent this board will follow suit.
For those curious as to why this is a rule, it is in place mainly so things are easier to read, and to keep threads that generate a lot of activity (like most every thread here) easier to catch up on after being away for a while, for both mods and normal posters alike. It's only a one-point infraction that will last a week like the other minor offenses.
I'll go ahead and sticky this for a week or two to make sure everyone has a chance to see it. And I'll even post my signature, since I'm fairly certain this post would be long enough for me to avoid a signature violation
