Please help

I don't know anywhere else to find an answer as I looked everywhere and still havnt received a solution. When I insert my 2gb wii sd card the wii menu sd card icon flashes blue (as it should) but when I click the icon I get this error message "the device inserted in slot a cannot be used". Please help!

"Slot A" usually refers to the GameCube memory card slot, not the SD Card slot. What exactly are you trying to do?

You don't boot P:M from the SD card menu. You boot it through brawl stage builder if you're going hackless.

I'm trying to get homebrew first. If the sd cant be read by the wii im assuming I cant even attempt to hack my wii. And I've tried to get homebrew through letterbomb smash stack etc. I'm sure the reason all those attempts have failed is because my sd card isn't being read by the wii. I really can use help if anyone has any ideas as to whats up here.

Is the SD card formatted properly? It needs to be formatted as FAT (usually FAT32) to work with the Wii. If it isn't, use this tool to format it properly.
