...this combo i ve been using alot, it is really effective against fastfallers, heavy weights, and is ok against all the rest of the characters
so u would do
short hop - fair - uair (all in one shorthop) - fsmash
for some reason, this sets up tippers really easily from my experiences at the mid ranges from 30%-50% (if they are a lightweight, maybe around 20% - 30% but that wouldnt be strong enough to knock the character off teh stage...) its an easy 40% with great knockback, and which ever the opponent DIs, you would be able to fsmash them...or would just the normal fair - fair - fsmash would be better?

going in for an uair during your sh puts you at the disadvantage by potentially getting shieldgrabbed after the uair. people go for the sh double fair (or more often single fair) for spacing. but i think MAYBE you could space the uair just outside of their grab range.

unless they were in the air or something and they di'ed really bad, this isn't too spectacular.

but hey, sometimes it can be.

very true Lain, still i dunt get how Kizzu pulls of his uairs in his combos..ugh
so once u got the opponent off in the air, i think this might be an option to use...maybe

Yeah, Kizzu uses this only to keep people in the air once they're already in the air.

It's better sometimes then fair because you can DI away from a Fair farther then you can from an Uair. So after the Uair he can proceed the chase with a Fair. It also can be a mindgame, since after the Uair, your opponent doesn't really know what to expect from you. You Fsmash, another Uair, proceed with Fairs, grab, Nair, Utilt, or Ftilt. Thus, they will DI expecting ONE of those, in which case good DI for one is bad DI for another. (For instance if they DI towards you expecting a Fsmash, you could link a Fair or two, and then ken combo if they were still DI'ing wrong, or you could Fsmash after the Fair(s) because they might at that point be DI'ing away from you to get away from Fairs.)

so this is more of a situational kinda thing? like...fair - uair leads to juggles?
and because of the common DI everyone uses like up and away, or horizontal DIs (i really dont expect to fight a pro in my lifetime...) which one of fsmash, uair, fair, grab, nair, utilt, or ftilt would u use?
holy **** u know about this situation VERY well thanks so much, so fellow marth player, which one do u use? fair - uair or fair - fair? and why?

^^ Thanks! You probably could, it's not too hard to get to play a pro. :)

But which one I would use is more dependent on who I'm playing against.

If it was a fastfaller, and I was near the end of the stage, I'd just Fsmash them off to edgegaurd. If we were in the middle of the stage and they were at low/mid percentages, I'd actually try and link multiple Uairs (or grab them to whatever).

If it was a floaty, if you get that Uair off chances are they went too high for you to really do anything but maybe a single Uair.

I use Fair - Fair a lot more just because of the combo potential. If they DI away at higher percentages, they get knocked off the stage and you can edgegaurd. If they DI into you at higher percentages, then if they're close enough to an Fsmash of whatever

oh...that makes alot of sense. So it IS really situational...and since marth is the best edgeguarder, at high percents this should do pretty good then...
yaa your right, floatys would ruin this combo...-_-
hollyyy ther u go again being smart again hahaha but it does make sense...haha thanks alot this ll help my marth game

lol? You are seriously mistaken. Maybe your in a bad area, but Canada has plenty of really good smashers. Check your regional boards.
