Why do I feel that with the One-Hit KO punch aspect, Little Mac will play as if he were in PSASBR?

It's very unlikely, but I still fear his main way of killing is with the KO punch. Although his punches are very fast, it could be possible that they'll also be weak, and the punches are more of a means to build your KO meter rather than deal damage.

Like I said before, it's very unlikely since this is Smash and anything goes, but I'll be disappointed if this turns out to be the case.

Doubtful. It really is.

Also, every character has a way of killing outside of their final smashes and strongest normal attacks/specials. So no. The KO punch wont be his only means.
