Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone discovered how to play the demo beyond the 30 times that it allows for those of us who didn't get special keys.

I tried to search for a similar topic but I ultimately failed to find anything. Anyone have any tips or tricks?

If there was any method of doing so I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be allowed to be talked about on the forum

Just don't turn off the game and don't turn off your 3ds. Game comes out in 10 days anyway.

The 30 count goes down when you turn off the demo, not after each match. You can play as many rounds as you want in one session (without turning the demo off). But if you close the demo and start it up again, it will count down by one.

As it sits with 30 "plays" you can essentially turn off your 3DS twice a day and still have a few plays left over until the release day (more if you haven't played yet).

The only 'legal' way of doing it is completely wiping all the data on your 3DS and then downloading it again. But that does include formatting the system so I really would not recommend it at all lol.
If you ran out of uses just wait a bit more, it's less than 2 weeks before the game gets released now

I've been reading that the demo limits you to 30 starts. So people are suggesting not to close the game and to leave your 3ds on standby. Also, the 30 starts should give you 2 starts a day until the game comes out.

Maybe deleting it when it has one use and redownloading it?
You would still have only one use left after redownloading. The only way to keep the demo until the release of the game is to keep the 3DS turned on all the time.

Yeah I mean it's a bit of a bummer considering the game isn't even out yet.

My challenge is that I am a new 3ds owner and as such I'm new to nintendo's whole demo system.
I do think it's ridiculous to limit play times when the game isn't released, the game has significantly limited functionality and is incomplete. But I don't make the rules I just need to follow them.

It's 2 independent sessions per day. If you're going over that you might like smash a little too much

Well I can only play for short spurts because hands cramp up. I am getting a grip tomorrow to hopefully solve that problem.

Eh I am sure I can make it work I do have the game reserved but I am debating whether to do a digital download in the evening and just play in the morning.

The only "trick" to getting more than 30 uses for the demo was to use the download code that was handed out the week before and receive the special demo version which had unlimited uses (And before you ask, the codes for the special demo are expired now so they don't work anymore).

So yeah, unless you format the system or buy a whole new 3DS (Which I wouldn't recommend) your only option is to boot up the demo sparingly and make good use of the sleep mode until the full version's release, really.
