when you play GameCube games on Wii, is it emulated ? not a fan of emulation & I only use my Wii because I have component cables so smash supports progressive scan. if its emulated I'm going to the gamecube haha.

Nah I'm like 99% sure the Wii runs GCN games from hardware.

No it's not, I think the only GCN emulator for Wii is an emulator called Nintendont.
Even when run off an ISO, it is still usually not emulated.

Why are you not a fan of emulation? Even if the Wii did naturally emulate GCN games, why would that be bad? You bought it so it wouldn't be illegal emulation or anything.

To put it short, the Wii is an overclocked Gamecube. When you start a Gamecube game, the overclocking is disabled and the Wii essentially becomes a Gamecube.

not a fan of emulation because I used to play smash 64 for example on an emulator & just was laggy & animations missing etc. & I used to play original Xbox games on Xbox 360, that was really bad hahah. I'm not dissing emulation at all. I know people who like it, but its just not my cup of tea. :p
