Okay, here's a fun way to pass the time. You are Sakurai, and are making a fan-made Smash game. Next, you keep everything a secret and slowly reveal characters until it releases 2 "years" later. However, each month will be shortened to a week, making the 2 "years" about 6 months from now. Try to aim for at least 1 reveal a week. You start at E3, where you reveal 8 veterans and 3 newcomers. When you reveal a new character, list its specials-only moveset (same with veterans if their moveset changes).

You can also "leak" info about someone else's game, which is basically an educated guess about who will be in the game. The original creator should not confirm or deny someone else's leak, so it's just a fun little feature I added. I will be doing this activity, starting with E3.

Veterans

[collapse=Mario Moveset]B (Fireball): Same.

Side B (Green Missile): Same.
Up B (Super Jump Punch): Same.
Down B (Poltergust 3000): Luigi pulls out the Poltergust 3000, which sucks opponents up and keeps them there for a short time, like Yoshi's Egg Lay. The opponents can break out, though.
Final Smash (Negative Zone): Same.[/collapse]

Link's moveset is the same.

Down B (Quake): If on the ground, Isaac will cause rock shards to fly out of the ground. If not, it has no effect.
Final Smash (Condemn): Isaac summons the Grim Reaper, who levitates an enemy up to get a Star KO. There is no escaping.[/collapse]
Mega Man

Mega Man's moveset is the same as his actual SSB4 moveset.

Lip
[collapse=Lip Moveset]B (Pollenation): Lip surrounds herself in a spore that does no damage, but grows flowers on enemies.
Side B (Puzzle Piece): Lip fires a shape from one of the tiles in PdP, each with different damage and effects. The tiles are as follows:
  • Green Circle: No effect, 5% damage, 30% chance
  • Yellow Star: Electric effect, 7% damage, 20% chance
  • Red Heart: Fire effect, 7% damage, 20% chance
  • Blue Triangle: Ice effect, 7% damage, 20% chance
  • Purple Diamond: Darkness effect, 10% damage, 10% chance
Up B (Rainbow Surf): Lip surfs diagonally on a rainbow, like Squirtle's Waterfall.
Down B (Garbage Block): Lip makes a garbage block fall down in front of her.
Final Smash (Tetris Attack): Lip makes Puzzle Blocks fall from the sky everywhere, hurting them.[/collapse]
More coming soon! Stay tuned for more reveals for my fan Smash game! You can make one as well!

Wait, if I'm Sakurai, then how is it a fan game? For it to be a fan game, wouldn't I have to be a fan? i.e. Not Sakurai?

But then why even both listign the moves that stay the same? Lol.

You pretty much leave the assumption of "oh, its 100% the same mario except Down B is a butt slam now"

not too different :p

Like, if you're gonna go full on fan modification, why not go all out with moves Mario could use throughout the control scheme? like a Glide with his cape ala Super Mario World, etc.

Sorry, I think i'll keep it this way for now. Although you can do your movesets as you want.

I dunno, it just seems weird to take up that much space on something that really isn't saying anything, but whatever. It's your "game".

I will make one, this sounds fun :D

E3

Notes

There will be one stage for every character along with additional stages that wouldn't fit with any other characters (battlefield is confirmed to be one of those stages).

Veterans

[collapse=Mario]Down-B: Star Spin, Mario spins in one circle and rises a tiny bit canceling all momentum.[/collapse]

Kirby

Link

[collapse=Pit]Same as SSB4[/collapse]

Pikachu

Fox

Samus

[collapse=Sonic]Side-B: Sonic Boost, Sonic boosts forward while damaging anyone he makes contact with. This puts him in a helpless state.[/collapse]

Newcomers

[collapse=Chrom](I know nothing about Fire Emblem so I will use this as my only reference)

Neutral-B: Chrom lunges forward and does an underhand slash. This can be charged.

Side-B: Chrom will teleport forward and deliver a powerful sword strike. This will put him in a helpless state.

Up-B: Chrom jumps up high and plummets diagonally downward while spinning.

Down-B: Counter, Like every other Fire Emblem character.[/collapse]

[collapse=Little Mac]Special Abilities: Star Score, every 15% damage Little Mac deals he will gain one star. Zero stars he will have green gloves and do .75x damage, one star he will have blue gloves and do 1x damage, two stars he will have yellow gloves and do 1.25x damage, and finally three stars he will have red gloves and do 1.5x damage.

Neutral-B: Quick Jab, Little Mac jabs quickly with no knockback, but extra hit stun.

Side-B: Directional Punch, Little Mac punches and if you point up on the control stick he will do an uppercut, side will be a punch straight out, and down will be a downward punch. The trajectory will be exactly where the control stick points.

Up-B: Star Punch, Little Mac will jump up doing an uppercut and this uses up all of his stars but he will go further and do more damage depending on how many stars he has.

Down-B: Punishing Shot, Little Mac will block any hits that an opponent gives with little end lag but the blow will only be .75x the normal damage if you tap the button, but if you hold the button he will dodge instead with more end lag but it does 1.5x the damage.[/collapse]

[collapse=Mega Man]Same as E3[/collapse]

I decided to make it more detailed, I will reveal more details about the characters as time passes, because I don't think Sakurai would reveal all of the attacks of a character in the first trailer the character is shown.

It is E3. Iwata announces that he will show a trailer for the new Super Smash Bros., and everyone gets hyped. The trailer starts with a burning Smash Ball symbol like the one in the SSB4 trailers. Battlefield is shown. Mario enters the stage via warp pipe, Link comes via tornado, Kirby lands witha Warp Star and Pikachu comes out of a Pokéball. The theme song of the game starts playing, and the title of the game appears. It is "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fight". Mario, Link, Kirby and Pikachu start to fight. A lot of fighting scenes are shown. These scenes confirm Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Fox and Samus as returning veterans. They also confirm Battlefield as a returning stage and Airships (a scrolling stage with many airships as platforms), Pokémon Stadium 3 (or 4 if Smash 4 has one), King Dedede's Ring, Yoshi's New Island (basically a Yoshi's Island 2, the name is a reference to Yoshi's 3DS game) and Cranky's Cabin as new stages. Then, a scene with Mario and Kirby fighting is shown. Suddenly, a magic hand appears and pushes them off-screen. The screen focuses on Isaac (he was the one that fired the hand) and the message "Isaac moves into battle!" appears. Isaac hears a meow. Suddenly, a lot of coins start raining. The screen focuses on Meowth and the message "Meowth scratches the competition!" appears. Isaac and Meowth start fighting, and then the level start music from Mega Man 2 plays. Mega Man shoots them with a charged mega buster, and the screen focuses on him. The message "Mega Man warps into battle!" appears. The music ends, and a image with all the characters revealed in this trailer appears. End of trailer, this is what was revealed in the trailer:

Veterans

Mario

No changes shown so far. Confirmed to keep his Fireball and Super Jump Punch specials.

Donkey Kong

Has a new Side Special, Barrel Throw. He throws a barrel forwards. The barrel keeps rolling and breaks when it hits an enemy. It is affected by gravity. Confirmed to keep his Giant Punch, Spinning Kong and Hand Slap specials.

Link

No changes shown so far. Confirmed to keep his Hero's Bow, Spin Attack and Boomerang specials.

Samus

Can now crawl, her crawling attack is laying a bomb in the ground. Confirmed to keep her Charge Shot and Morph Ball Bomb specials.

Yoshi

No changes shown so far. Confirmed to keep his Egg Lay, Egg Throw and Yoshi bomb specials.

Kirby

No changes shown so far. Confirmed to keep his Inhale and Stone specials.

Fox

No changes shown so far. Confirmed to keep his Blaster and Reflector specials.

Pikachu

No changes shown so far. Confirmed to keep his Thunder Jolt, Quick Attack and Thunder specials.

Newcomers

Isaac

It is revealed that his Side Special move is the "Move" psyenergy. It is also revealed that his basic attacks involve mostly magic and some use his sword.

Meowth

It is revealed that his Neutral Special is Pay Day, and it works just like his Pokéball attack from Brawl. It is revealed that his Side Specials is Fury Swipes, where he runs forward and slashes furiously. It is also revealed that his basic attacks all involve slashes.

Mega Man
It is revealed that he has a lot of robot master abilities, the ones shown are Metal Blade, Leaf Shield and Crash Bomber. It is also revealed that his Neutral Special is Mega Buster and his Up Special is Rush Coil.

I'm going to do the rest later.

Additional Notes

Tripping has been removed
The air dodges are like in Melee, but can't go in different directions and are shorter (this also deconfirms wave-dashing).
