I just heard about net play today and thought that it might be fun to try it with Super Smash Bros. 64. Does anyone here play it through NetPlay?

Bonus Question: Does anyone use the GameCube-PC Adapter? Is it worth the money?

Hi, welcome to smashboards :)

You may want to read this thread : http://smashboards.com/threads/smash-64-index-read-here-first.350305/

It should contain all the necessary info regarding online play. Don't hesitate to ask if you still have problems.

Concerning adapters, most people use an N64 USB adapter (Raphnet or Mayflash), but those two brands also make gamecube adapter. I have the Raphnet one and it works flawlessly (I don't use it for smash 64 though).

By the way, if you only have a few simple questions it is better to ask in this thead: http://smashboards.com/threads/ask-...-thread-read-before-asking-a-question.237869/

jk welcome to 64 :^) once you get situated with online play, take a look at http://rankings.supersmashbros64.com and enter the rankings! your life is about to change.

Bonus Answer: if you mean raphnet adapter, then yeah it's worth it!

What does you guys thinks about the may flash? I am getting one, and I saw quite the amount of good reviews. Any thoughts?

That's the one I use and it's good enough. There is a little delay with c-buttons but that will be unnoticeable and won't hinder your gameplay.

mayflash is fine, raphnet has delay to it but it has proper stick range/deadzone, n64/psx is OK if you manage to get it to work, adaptoid is best(if you can find it)

Hmm... I will look into the adaptoid one. Thank you for the info! And sorry for my spelling in my last post, I was on the verge of sleep when writing it.
