Playing in fast motion

Well we all know theres a slow motion option in the training mode, that may be good to train combos and stuff...

But, slowMo isn't really good to get better in the whole game. I mean, to get good training for your speed and skills it should be a fast motion option like in melee. Anybody knows a way to play in fast mode with some gameshark code or so?
Thanks in advance.

Why is anyone saying "lmfao" or asking how slow helps you to train combos?

Haven't you ever heard of practicing a piece slowly on the piano/guitar/any instrument first, then increasing the speed as you master it? So you can have perfect accuracy once you get to full speed? Why would practicing a video game, which also requires finger dexterity/reflexes, be any different? There are some problems with learning the timing when doing this, but if done methodically, it should work.

I've also wondered if there is a way to speed things up, it would make normal play seem so easy if you got used to playing sped up all the time. I'll look into it on the Gameshark side.

I agree with you. When I make my training mode combos, I go to 1/4 speed to plan things out. Once I have a combo, I increase the speed until I master it.

Just something I do when I'm bored.

No. Slow mo can be used to invent some combos and to actually have time to think. Going fast will do nothing but mess your timing up for z-cancels and stuff. Playing in fast motion is stupid.

Ah yes... that's true. All of your button presses would be too early, probably. If you slowly increase the speed from slow to normal, you'd have to do the same for fast to normal, which defeats the purpose.

Fast speed would, however, help you in terms of reaction time/reflexes, dodging opponents, accuracy etc. But that's about it.

Training in lightning melee mode sucks. Smash is about timing, so if you practice on a higher speed your timing will be messed the F*** up.

Well you got your quick and good response so there's no need for this to be open.

I've been on the ssb64 forum for over a year and I know how things run around here. A thread opens with a question, spam, question gets answered, more spam.

Close before we get to the "more spam" stage.

BHLMRO, he's asking a question. Just because you may think that speeding it up would be pointless, he disagrees. It's his thread, and we don't have ridiculous amounts of spam (Although we do have some), so it can stay open right now.
