Platform cancels/Shield drop

Of course with platform cancels, you MUST be doing it on a moving platform!

Platform cancel- fullhop > dair

Shield platform cancel- fullhop > hold down + shield

DownB platform cancel- fullhop > downB

Platform surfing- fullhop > down + shield (at the same time, sort of like a smash attack)



Banana tricks: do the shield platform cancel > glidetoss

If there is a banana on the platform, any of the platform cancels (except downB) will catch it, regardless if its hostile or not.



Forgot to record one, which is called!

dair cancel- When on the platform, fall through then instantly dair (or any of these options) and you can catch a banana (except with downB).

Shield drop- (while shielding on a platform) press down faster than a tilt, but slower than a spotdodge.

Slowdrop (from a ledge)- press down about the same speed you would for shielddropping, now you can safely dair :D

the only input you need to do for a platform cancel is to tap down X: (cstick or control stick, using both makes it easier to perform but not necessary) just throwin that out there
