I think it would be cool if there was a stage, item, or something, that would turn all of the characters into their original pixelated form.(for example, Mario would look like the Mario from smb) If the character didnt have an original pixelated form ex.(Snake) Then the game cretors would have to make it up.

I realize this would put a lot of work on the animators...but it would be awesome none the lesss.

It would be awesome, but is it possible? Sony is having some trouble making PS2 games compatible with the PS3. Would the wii have the same prob.?

Ohh and Snake has a pixelated form. His Nintendo debut was on the nes?

Pixels would take up virtually no disk space.
Snake was on the NES.

They would effectively have the same moves, but would woul be really light.
Nintendo needs to make some new sprites for their smash moves.

I like the idea, maybe it could be implemented in an item where the character reverts back into a pixelated character and looses their moves for a short while (except for run and jump).

Ending your game.
Yes! There could be an NES as an item, and whoever they throw it at turns into such a pixelated form. Their abilities would be limited as EggBomb says, and would remain that way for as long as the other transformation items. A lot of these characters have a pixel form from the past, so it wouldn't be a problem to put them in. It would be pretty amusing.

And they'd have to make new hitboxes or have people whine about the glitchiness. Meh, too much work; too little result

Behind you.
Excellent idea, my friend, and not even that outlandish. Sakurai's stated his love for retro characters, meaning that this is right down his alley.

Great idea....not sure how much work would be needed to do it, though.

Sorry I wasn't clear enough, They would have to make new sprites for all the characters. When I said use old sprites I meant use the design of those sprites so you can make new moves fthat were never used by those sprites.

I also like te idea where it's an item and all you can do is run and jump, that would be pretty funny.

Also, I never knew snake was on the nes, and if he was, why does sony now have the license for him?
