Im pretty sure it's just a mindgame thing and nothing more. I dont use it personally although I need mindgames. Being spontaneous is the best thing when it comes to mindgames :chuckle: Personally, I dont think it's worth it if you're going for the DD>Fsmash pivot cuz it's hard to do (atleast to me)

I've been able to pivot without any distractions, but it's very hard to do (and situational) during battles. Where and when should people pivot?

On Marth's (and some other characters') dash dance, if you look carefully, you can see a frame (or maybe more than one?) every time you turn around during which Marth looks like he's standing up straight. During that frame, Marth can perform any move, although the easiest to pull off are the Fsmash and the Ftilt.

The way I learned to do it was to hit the analog stick opposite the direction I want to smash during a dash dance, and simultaneously hitting the c-stick the direction I want to smash.

i dont use it, its just depends on the way ur marth plays, personally i dont find it very useful for marth.
