I know I posted not too long ago but I guess I'm hungry for knowledge. Can someone give me any tips on easier pivoting/pivot grabs/pivot smashes? Are they important or just a cool trick you can do?

Pivots definitely improve your game when you can do them consistently. Not the easiest thing in the world to do; it'll take some practice.

Pivoting is really important for extending your chaingrabs, spacing F smashes, etc. The best way to get them consistently is to practice them. All I can really say is that you pretty much want to input a grab, smash, jump, (whatever) about 1/60th of a second (1 frame) after you input a dash. And while that sounds difficult, I assure you you will begin to get a feel for the timing. Personally, I practiced pivoting by pivot F smashing across FD and back. I eventually could begin to do it without missing one at all.

The point is, do whatever works for you, but the only way to really get better at pivoting is through practice.
