Pivot Smashes/Aerials?

I'm having a lot of trouble with these, especially the aerials. I know how to pivot grab, is it the same timing? I can't consistently do either of these, so if anybody could give me advice from the ground up, as if I didn't know how to pivot grab, that would be fantastic.

Any help is appreciated! :reverse:

remember just to flick the control stick and not smash and understand your maximum dash dance length

Dont let the stick leave neutral ( Its a pretty vague description, I dont know the control stick range specifics)

For aerial

  1. First try to get the pivot jump/short hop working
  2. then try to learn the different aerial timing control with it
  3. for example pivot backwards jump , normal pivots , fast falled , non fast falled
  4. once you have understood that then incorporate aerials
shield pivoting is alternative to this and is easier and a good mix up to add to your arsenal
Note - For pivot aerials you have to let the jump animation start so you dont dash attack and for pivot jumps in general

grounded

  1. flick the stick then input grounded move

Yeah, I'm having an easier time shield pivoting or just shielding into OoS aerials to stop momentum. But I have had more success with what you've told me, I guess practice will yield the results.

Thanks!
