Pitfall=Ariel attacking?

From one of the screens involving the new pitfall item, it seems as though you can get stuck in midair.

The main question I have is will players be able to move/attack at all while trapped? Or will they have to stay stationary and get attacked? It would seem cool to be able to have your character be able to kick or swipe in midair, but I don't know how possible it would be. Thoughts on this?

i interpretated it that if you are on a pass through platform you'll just fall through it and get stuck on the main platform

When I first saw the picture, I thought Bowser was stuck too. But when you read the captions and such, it seems much more likely that he's just falling through the platform.

You know, the "____ is nice, but ____ is better" thing is best used with moderation. It's stale now, because you already used it once in this thread. I know, because I did read it.

I was just saying that I thought the same thing he did when I first saw the picture, so he knew he wasn't the only one to make a mistake. It's not my fault you thought your post was the only one worthy of being in this thread.
