Has this already been discovered?

Hold down and 45 degrees backward and press A. You interrupt the lag off the end of your first jab with a crouch thus allowing you to perform continual jabs that can easily be escaped! Not too useful but this board is moving slowly. As far as I know, Pit is the only one who can do this.

Maybe we should make a "Pit in Brawl+" thread.

Update 2: I found out it's called jab-cancelling. Marth can do it. I think others can too. You press down to discontinue jabbing and return to a neutral state.

Lucario can not do this because Lucario can crawl. Characters that crawl will perform Dtilts when holding down and backward 45 degrees and pressing the A button. I just tested it right now.

Precisely! As I've just realized, you jab, tap down, and grab. I have yet to test this, but I put it in the opening post and changed the title anyways.

Every character that has a multihit jab can do this and its common knowledge. Things like Jab to Grab are not true comboes for Pit since his Jab does not have enough hitstun. For example Snake can Ftilt you or even Jab you himself before you try to grab him after your Jab.

Point is this is nothing new and doesn't require testing of any kind.
