Pikmin Stage

I searched this and didn't find anything.

Anyway, I think the planet that Captain Olimar lands on could make and excellent stage for brawl. There could be giant pieces of Olimars ship or treasure lying around that could be used as platforms. Also every once in a while a Pikmin enemy could walk across the stage (being really easy too dodge) kind of like bullet bill except less damage. I think theres endless possibilities for this stage. Discuss.

Thats a really cool idea. Hopefully Captain Olimar will even be a character.

I really wanted to make a Pikmin stage thread but i couldn't really get a right idea of what would properly represent the series. Could you please go into more detail with pictures and such.

Hmm. I never really had the opportunity to play through the Pikmin games, but the screens I've seen have all been astoundingly good in terms of graphics quality and sheer creativity. I'm picturing fighting atop a giant tree stump or something the like, water on either side, heaven only knows what bizarre creatures popping up all over the place. Sounds fun. Heh heh heh.... *evil chuckle*

A while ago I came up with this idea for a Pikmin stage. I was going to start a new thread, but I saw this one so I thought I'd post it here. First a picture:

The stage doesn't take place in any particular place in the games, it's more of a generic Pikmin-esque stage. Basically it's a rock in a field of grass (a tree stump would also work well). On, or near, the rock are some Pellet Posies, with the leaves and the pellets serving as platforms, as well as a mushroom (maybe modeled after one of the mushrooms you collect in Pikmin 2). Every once in awhile (actually I would hope somewhat often, I like chaos) a creature from the game would come to the stage (in the picture I used a Burrowing Snagret and a Swooping Snitchbug as examples) and cause various kinds of havoc (you could attack them to make them leave sooner).

Bulborbs could chomp down on, chew up, and spit out characters. The Burrowing Snagret would peck at players, and you would have to attack its head to get rid of it. The Swooping (or Bumbling) Snitchbug would swoop down and pick up characters, then toss them to the ground (hard). Careening Dirigibugs could drop bomb rocks, Wollywogs could jump and squash characters, Armored Cannon Beetles and their Larva could fire rocks across the stage. Beady Long Legs could stomp around the stage, again you would have to attack its head to get rid of it. The possibilies really are nearly endless.

What do you think of my ideas?

Really good idea. Good stage layout although i don't think i whould want to many enemies getting in the way of the battle.

It would be a nice touch if when attacked the pellets fell out of the pellet posies (not effecting the stage though, rather like the destructible platforms in SkyWorld) and eventually re-grew.

I believe at one point I thought that leaves might collapse after awhile, but the pellet posies falling would be even better. Good idea!

Olimar would be the sickest character if he could use his pikmin as weapons, just like in the game. He never attacked in the game, and thats what he would do here, he would just let his pikmin do the bidding....

I hope they make a stage at least, that would be very cool. Maybe you could see him walking around in the background with his pikmin friends if he's not a character!

Did you play the game? He was able to attack. And also Olimar only appearing as walking around in the background of a stage would be an insult to him and to Pikmin fans everywhere.

That's boring a good level would be kind of like the FE level with different levels. a good Pikmin level would be the dungeon levels where ever so often you would drop deeper into the dungeon like they have in pikmin two but level 5 would be the last level just to keep a limit

So here's another idea I came up with for a Pikmin stage. This one is based on the Perplexing Pool from Pikmin 2. I took a lot more time drawing this picture up than I did drawing the other one, so I hope you like it.

So this takes place on a small island in the Perplexing Pool from Pikmin 2. There's a sprout with leaves that serve as platforms. The block (I was never sure if it was glass or tile, I'm guessing glass, but whatever) is also part of the stage. I realize the water isn't actually that deep in the game, but for Smash-sake, so you can fall. You can grab the edge of the block, but the other side of the island isn't grab-able, so don't fall. ;)

The Toady Bloyster will be a main feature of the stage. Most of the time it will hang out on the left of the stage, serving as a platform. It will sometimes try to shake off anyone standing on it, or attack with its suckers (not shown). Sometimes it'll glide in front of the stage, where it'll just look pretty, and be otherwise useless. If you attack the bulb (its tail) enough, it'll die (like in the game), with everything but the bulb vanishing, the bulb will then sink into the water. Eventually a new Toady Bloyster will swim in from the left. And very rarely a Ranging Bloyster will come instead, which will be much more aggressive than its smaller cousin. It would even go onto the island and attack.

Like in my other suggestion, enemies could attack occasionally, though I would think a lot less on this stage. This one would also only have water-based enemies, or flying ones. The Toady Bloyster should be enough. :p

What do you think of this idea? Oh, and the background would be prettier than this, more detailed and most likely resembling an area in the Pool.

Shoot! Sorry about the double post, I was getting an error when I tried to post my stage, then I realized that it had actually gone through. Sorry!

I really like the Pool-stage idea Captain Brawlimar, it's a good representation of the Pikmin game (Even though not one of my main choices for a Pikmin stage) and looks fun to play on. Nice job.
