Pikmin 3 and Pikmin Wii Port?

I'm confused. I heard Pikmin 3 was coming out in March, but then I found out about the Pikmin Wii port, which might be coming out Feburary. What's coming out when?

Both are in development. The Pikmin Wii port is coming out soon (I guess February is accurate), but to my knowledge, there's no news on Pikmin 3, other than it being in development, of course.

no the New Play Control Pikmin is coming out march 9th. pikmin 3 is still in development as well but theres nothing about it yet.

so anyone gonna get the pikmin remake? looks awesome even though its the same thing but better graphics and new controls.

BUT, if you mean a remake as in, an actual game itself, then I can play that. By the way, is it possible to purchase Pikmin or Pikmin 2 at this time? I know it's pretty old, but maybe used?

Yes, the pikmin and new play control is the same thing. I dont really understand what you mean by not being able to use your wii port. but the new pikmin game is a retail game so im pretty sure you can get it.

It is possible to still get pikmin 1 and 2 for the gamecube but i wouldnt recommend it cause
1. those games are extremely rare and hard to find at a store and
2. both games are being made into the new new play control series. pikmin one is coming out in a little more over a month and 2 later this year.

this game series is one of my favorites (loved 1 but not so much 2).

Actually thats the US version..... he is half-right about february since the european one is coming on february 6th which happenes to be this friday and subsequently in just 2 days.....HOORAY!

but anyways u should know that there are 3 pikmin games for the wii right now and im gonna tell u the status.....

Pikmin - Port from the GC version, Improved Graphics and Controls, with a brand new saving mechanic which allows you to start the game from any previous day. The release dates are mentioned earlier in this post.

Pikmin 2 - It has been announced to be rereleased on the wii along with its prequel and while nothing more has been announced it is unofficially speculated to contain the same improvements, while it could also, in my opinion, contain something more plot-wise like for example a bigger ending or a teaser-trailer to prepare us for Pikmin 3 (See below) or in general any other surprise-addition.

Pikmin 3 [Unofficial but highly possible title] - The only thing known about this game is that it is directed towards the Wii and is currently in development... While it was first announced in E308 it is propably in work for around a year so I wouldn't expect it to be released any later than 2009 Q4 - 2010 Q1. While only little information is known about the game, judging from the various sources, with most of them official, this little info is undeniably true.
