so pretty much i have no idea how this worked and i was wondering if someone else knew.

I have 3 yellow pikmin, 1 red, 1 blue, 1 white.
my friend tells me to get rid of all my pikmin except yellow
i run to the edge to f-b them off but i messed up and ran off the ledge
my pikin all start to fall off the edge and in an attempt to save them i press d-b
somehow the red, blue, and white pikmin fell and only the yellows came back...
they stared in amazement asking me how did i do that.. i smile and say "i can't tell u my secrets :p" then 5 min later... i tell them i have no idea, it was random... but that was cool as hell.

so pretty much, doea anyone know of some way to make all pikmin, with the exception of one color, die? if not... we should def look into it... if someone does know... pls tell me, this could be so useful

I think this one can just be chalked up to Pikmin ***********. Sometimes some of the...not so bright Pikmin just don't respond to the whistle when they feel they've got better things to do.

My guess is that the yellows were still a part of your line, while the others weren't. What was the order of the line? Were the red, blue, and white in front? the back? How many did you throw before you fell off?

i'll probably test stuff lateer, but i'm really sleepy and lazy atm lolz

@sudai
if it was just that... then only some of the yellows should have come, not all 3 while all none yellows died

@Dangr
i don't remember :( but i'm pretty sure they were all falling and not just the non-yellows... but even if that was the case, do you know of a way to get just one color to be in you line and make the rest fall?

@fino
no vid, it was too long because we were doing a match and my friend complains about oli having priority of peach and told me to yellow f-smash while she dairs to check

jewfro O.o wth, i heard that for the first time 2 weeks ago when my friend said i have a jew fro

They could all come while the others didn't if that was the order that they were in, as dangr was asking.

I mean..there's no rhyme or reason behind the pikmin being ******** as far as we know. The fact that the three yellows weren't the slow ones doesn't really mean anything. Just means they weren't the slow ones..lol..

lol, possible, but i figured unlikely... as far as logic is concerned i figured... and i'm fairly certain they wern't all togther because i hadn't whistled for a while so they were more then likely mixed up. but i have a felling there was actually a reason this occurred and not a random fluke event.... but there is still the chance thatit was

Maybe there's a higher chance that a pikmin will become ******** if it's farther from the front of the line because it's farther from Olimar or somethin. I suggest that everyone start saving the replays when this sort of thing happens so they can take some notes about it and maybe we can come up with an explanation. If we could control this, imagine how wonderful it would be.

i know that dash dancing by the edge of an stage and then running off the side after the pikmin fly up will cause some to die... i did minimal testing and found that out... now i wanna se if i can possibly find a way to choose what dies and what doesn't.

also, (i actually have this saved) this has happened to others, but 3 pikmin left (went away) somehow and i was only able to use 3 pikmin... but later i did an up-smash and my purple came out of "hiding" lol and up-smahsed even though it wasn't visible prior to the up-smash....learning how to do this could also be amazing ... randomly pulling a purple or blue when people think they are safe
