I have a question. While airborne when using forward tilt A pikachu will spin like a flying squirrel, but i find this very difficult to do. I can do the one with the sparks , and also the up tilt tail smack, and the summer sault, but the one where he lays flat out and spin is very difficult to me, is there some special way to do this?

I'm assuming what you're talking about is the horizontal 1020 spin he does. That is Pikachu's Back Aerial. If Pikachu is in the air and facing Left, hit Right and A to do it, vice versa if he is facing Right. But in all honesty, the only time you would ever need this move is if you had no other option left, because of the huge lag problem the move faces if it hits the ground, PLUS speaking of damage, unless every hit connects, the damage is hardly move-worthy. You are much better off with forward Aerial A leading into a Down Smash, or even his Neutral Aerial A or Down Aerial A if you're not planning on hitting the ground anytime soon.

Don't think I'm discrediting his Back Aerial A though, I'm an avid Pika player and I use this move maybe 3 or 4 times in a match tops, ESPECIALLY if the opponent doesnt see it coming ;) .

If you still want to use this move and need a little practice. 1) Hang on a ledge. 2) jump off the ledge. 3) Tilt the control stick back toward the ledge. 4) Hit A and use his Back Aerial.

Hope this helped you out!

thank you, i use this move when i do the short jump before doing a smash because it is quicker than the forward A, thanks for making it clear how to preform this move.

I actually like to use it because it cases your opponent to spin, making it easy to combo, but if u have a better technique be sure to let me know

I have a quick question about the application of this move, are you finishing the move in the air, or does hitting the ground interrupt it for you? If you hit the ground in the middle of the Back Aerial there is a tremendous amount of log, just like hitting the ground with Down Aerial A (the head facing down electric spin), and then the opponent just lets you get up and forward smash? I'm terrible confused lol! ^^

@osgiliath, this move is best used in levels with platforms. When opponent is in the air, i execute this move. Land on platform, jump back up and attack with Forward Aerial A. I choose the Back Aerial A because if you get them caught in the attack it deals a nice amount of damage and sends them flying. Sorry if i did not answer your question for i did not fully understand.
