Pikachu cancel his thunder

I dont know if this is known but my friend Trill found out u can cancel pikachu's thunder by shielding before it hits u. so just the thunder comes out.

It doesn't work, at least as far as I've tried. Ask him what the timing is, or better yet, get him to make a video. Some more explanation would be nice.

it may not work i think the thunder is just faster than what he is used to from melee ill look into it more

Why would you want to... you can move out of the way. Also before posting this i did test and IT DOES NOT work.
