This idea is based on Stadium Cups from the Pokémon Stadium games and Pokémon Battle Revolution.
The basic premise is using pokémon that have already evolved and can evolve again, in other words the "middle" evolution, the pokémon that are too weak for normal play and (most) don't qualify for Little Cup, the ones who would otherwise be condemned to obscurity (At least in competitive play).
That part is simple, but what about the 1-stage evolution pokémon? Or the ones that don't evolve? Would they be allowed? If so, which?
Maybe implementing a level cap, and the ones that evolve before the cap are allowed.
Or maybe simply not allowing pokémon above a certain tier (besides the 2-stage evolutions, of course)
Thoughts? Input?
