Pick your main and partner(s) for story mode

I figured that in story mode you are able to choose who your partner(s) are. This is what I would try:

Main: Fox
Partner(s): Link, Sonic, Mario

Main: sonic
Partners: Ike, Zamus, or Zelda

or for comedy

Main: Pikachu
Partner: Snake

 

[Youko]

Unfortunately, you don't get to choose. The game chooses team matchups for you in the Subspace Emissary Mode, and you get to pick which of the two you get to play.

...Kinda makes this thread not needed, huh.
