It wouldn't surprise me if the PMBR were going in a direction like this already (assuming they're even working on Pichu), but I just had to post it. Most Brawl characters were changed quite a bit for PM, to make them fit better with the more Melee-esque physics. However, many of the Melee characters were left largely intact, or buffed while retaining their original play style. This can be done with Pichu as well, which isn't to say that I wouldn't be happy with a direct port of Pichu or that I wouldn't appreciate the PMBR if he wasn't eventually added, because I would and I do.

Also, anyone who thinks Pichu should be buffed to the level that the other characters are on doesn't understand the point of Pichu. I think he should still be the clear worst, but more similar to SF4 Dan: dangerous if underestimated. But what could they give him? Simple: options. Not offensive options, necessarily, but rather mobility options that allow him to fake out the opponent and avoid commitment to an approach.

Basically, let him do as many of the following as feasible (I would want them all):

-Jump cancel Side B, like Ike. Not sure if it would work, but if the Side B is grounded, make the jump his first jump, allowing for more followups.

-Airdodge cancel Side B: allows him to both be safer after Side B as well as switch directions. Might be a little redundant with the jump cancelling, but you could airdodge/waveland out of an aerial Side B without having to jump first, or after having already used your jump.

-Make Side B charge quicker.

-Allow action after Up B, like with Mewtwo and G&W. Also allow airdodging after Up B.

-Possibly give Up B a weak, low-priority hit box, just for something to work with.

-Possibly make the Side B cancels do 1% of damage to him with a neat little shock animation.

Those are what I would love to see make Pichu PMified. Some other cool, cheesy stuff could be less startup and cooldown on Down B, to make it safer as well as more usable for comboing. IE It'd be neat to be able to move while it's still coming down. Lastly they could make changes to his Neutral B to make it easier to camp and approach with, such as a larger air hitbox, and a higher bounce on the ground. However, my bulleted list is what I'd REALLY like to see, and they could even leave the rest of his kit basically the same.
