Assuming that they did the same thing, would you have rather had the Curry stay or replace it with Phazon? For those of you who don't know what Phazon is, it's a blue substance featured in the Metroid Prime games. Personally, I'd like to see how a lot of the characters would look when they're Phazon-corrupted. Corrupted Kirby FTW!

Unfortunately, many of the people on these boards don't use items when smashing, but I for one think that this is a great idea.

I agree and I love items I don't know why people don't like using them.

Someone posted earlier that there is too much fire in Smash (Bowser, Fire Flower, Mario, now Curry and Charizard), and some other elements like Phazon would be interesting. We also don't have a poison element that messes up your control, or anything like that.

I didn't really read what this topic is about but I'm going to put in my 2 cents anyway:

Curry is much tastier than phazon.

As awesome as it would be to have Phazon-boosted characters, it would take far too long to model every character, with any/all alternate costumes and transformations, to look corrupted. I'm thinking more of a Hypermode item, which boosts your strength, speed, jumps, etc. for a short time, but deals damage for every attack you do.

Edible Phazon = no

Corruptible Phazon = no

Phazon as an item = no

Phazon in a metroid stage = definately

The only way phazon is making it into Brawl is if they include it in Metroid stage. Is phazon even in Metroid Zero Mission, which is the basis of Samus' Varia suit? If not, then phazon making it at all seems slim seeing as it is only in the Prime games which does not have any rep once again. Correct me if I'm wrong when I say it is only in the Prime games.

It would be cool if Wario's special smash confused characters the way his special attack does in Mario Strikers Charged. For those of you smashers that don't know what I'm talking about... the directions on your control stick swap for a short period of time to make moving around on the soccer field more difficult. Nintendo likes to overlap moves from game to game... I just think it would be kinda cool too continue to see patterns like that.

Anyways, back to the sorta main topic... it would be cool if Samus could somehow use the phazon. I know her move set is pretty solid... but it would still be cool.

The Metroid Prime games are oozing with great stage-potential content. The Dark World from Prime 2 and the Leviathan Seed from Prime 3 are some of the best ideas for stages out there and it will be dissapointing to not see them get any representation.

If not that, then there are still plenty of areas that need at least a consideration for Metroid's part in Brawl:

Tourian (which was kind of in Melee, but not really).
Ridley's Lair
Crateria
Maridia
Chozo Ruins
Phendrana Drifts
Temple Grounds
Sanctuary Fortress
Valhalla (wrecked)
Skytown

Many of these could work. I really do hope that Metroid Prime gets some representation and phazon gets included as well, but I honestly won't mind whatever Sora does as long as they take a nice long departure from the generic Brinstar stages we've seen in the previous two Smash games.

Phazon in general would be nice to include in any way. I would prefer it as a stage hazard, but as an item it wouldn't be too bad either.
