Perhaps a silly question about Samus' screw attack...

I'm a big fan of samus' screw kick, but whenever I have used it in the past, I haven't been in the right position for it and I usually knock the enemy away before I can do many hits. Where is the best position in the air in which to initiate the screw kick? I haven't been able to play brawl a whole lot, so maybe it's just easier to do this is brawl than in melee.

Screw.. kick? You mean attack right, ^b?

Best time is out of shield. Or ledgehopped fair to ^b. You don't use ^b in the air unless you're recovering, unless it's reeaaallly situational.

Every hit with ^b doesn't need to connect, and if you don't send them far enough for your liking, just FF to the ground anywhere you'd like or onto the ledge if you're near it (I occasionally fall somewhere that's not too predictable ex: right next to them).

Btw @ sig, bomb jump still exists, it's just useless, although I've gone under many stages with it for fun.

No, I'm sorry. I was talking about her uair. I thought it was called the screw kick.

Yeah, I should prb change my sig now. I've read a couple of other samus posts and it seems to still have some good uses.

Lol @ Screw kick. You should just refer to aerials as uair, fair, nair, bair, and dair.

First off, if you hit with the first kick without being interrupted by anything else. All the hits should connect. If you land on the ground or platform, hit with a preceding kick, or clash attacks, not all the kicks will hit. The key to landing all the kicks, is to land the first one.

And the best position to initiate it is (obviously), under them.

EDIT: Yes, Lucario is the Saiyan of Brawl. Now, change your sig again! >=)

Up-B is also a decent combo finisher,

SH'FF-F-air>jump forward>F-air>Up-B as a basic combo.

her Up-b is relatively safe in brawl since it has a decent knockback, lots of characters have the means to counter it, but many players don't know how to, Wobbles is the only one i've played who has countered samus' Up-b properly.
