Perfect Shielding?

What is the frame data for perfect shielding? How quick or how accurate must I be with the timing of my shield? Is it necessarily better and more advantageous to digital shield(fully held down L/R button) or analog shield(partially held down L/R button) and why? I see perfect shielding performed by many top players as a method of dealing with Falco's lasers, but really how difficult is it to pull it off consistently?

You have to activate the shield anytime during the first 2 frames.

In 20XX set the game to Develop and turn on frame counter in game. Set the CPU to keep doing short hop lasers by R+D-Pad Right and then keep trying to shielding in the first 2 frames right before the laser hits you.

It can be very useful in certain situations but often it is not necessary.

According to the Wiki and such it's the first 2-4 frames depending on whether you are power shielding a projectile or physical hit, but I believe it's actually much more complicated than that and not fully understood yet. At least that's what I've heard from Mahie :/

I'm pretty sure you can't use the analog to power shield so... I guess that answers one of your questions.
Also, once you practice it, you can typically PS if you know a laser is coming, a bit harder on reaction.
