Peppy and Slippy for SSBB!

I have enjoyed the spectrum of Star Fox games, and I think these two deserve to be in. I would much rather prefer the old senile Hare and morbidly obese Toad, than the likes of Wolf or Krystal. They are more realistic choices. Wolf is simply "too good" and Krystal was recently introduced, while Slippy and Peppy have been around awhile.

I doubt they will make the final cut, probably losing to Krystal and/or Wolf, though I hope they make it in.

I think slippy would be good although wouldn't peppy be kinda old, in star fox adventures hes pretty old (he doesn't even fly around with fox anymore although he does help) well thats just my opinion if anyone can find another reason why/why not go ahead.

That's the beauty of it. Peppy is so old, but he still kicks ***. Getting beat by the old dude would embarrass people. Much like I do in Assault when I use Peppy and kick people's ***** using Wolf.

Slippy would rock. Smash needs a frog-like character, and Slippy is a lot more likely than Chrono-trigger frog or one of the battletoads.

Wolf O Donnel would probabbly be the most likely. Slippy would be horrible and suck and Peppy is just old.

It wouldn't work. It may sound evil, but he'd just fall to pieces.

He's weak. He could be a Fox clone or a Captain Falcon clone. But useless.

Please, the novelty characters better have something

I like both characters, but Peppy doesn't even fly the planes in the games anymore, much less should he be fighting hand to hand. Slippy is just Slippy, he's got a small fanbase for the people who like his climsy humor, but I don't see him getting in.

If Slippy or Peppy do get in, it would have to be long after Krystal and Wolf do.

Starfox is a great series, but we don't need every F^cken Character in SSBB

Slippy & Peppy are great characters, there for they desurve to be in SSBB

It's the move sets I'm worried about, they'll probably have a blaster and a shine.

The starfox team will be like DR. Mario, Mario and Luigi. They are just too similar.

I think Slippy would be an excellent addition to the game. Seriously! I mean, if you want someone different than Fox or Falco, Slippy would be the perfect choice. He's shorter and slower, but I'm sure you could give him a very interesting moveset.

He... IS the ship's mechanic. I'm sure he would have tons of neat devices to help him win the battle.

I mean, Krystal would be good because she has a staff, but I think another Fox is kind of redundant.. Speaking of canines, Wolf would be kind of lame. I mean, people say he isn't a clone, but he's the exact same thing as Fox in the Starfox games. He's called Wolf which is like Fox, he has Team Starwolf, he is in fact a canine, hes the leader of his mercenary crew, and sometimes he is actually a good guy. Yep, he sure is nothing like Fox.....ugh....

Which brings us back to Slippy. You want a memorable Starfox character that is dramatically different than Fox or Falco, but has a unique moveset? Take Slippy for a spin!

Krystal for Brawl. I don't want to say I hate you, and all who support Peppy/Slippy but I wouldn't want them in Brawl.

Its a Melee fighting game and I'd rather be using Krystal/Wolf to pwn some face in CQC.

And well... if Wolf was removed from a game it wouldn't be effected. Has anyone seen his command look? If they're going by command style then I definitely prefer Slippy over Wolf!

Peppy & Slippy aren't as popular though, & there are plenty who would love to lynch Slippy. Also, they probably won't be out entirley. At best, they'll be part of Fox's FS, or be kick-a** assist trophies.

Well, I can't do it NOW, because now everyone is expecting a barrel roll joke.

I thought Slippy was alright. He's not exactly John McClane or Jack Bauer like the rest of the team, but he was more like Jack Ryan, from the Tom Clancy novels. I hate his voice above all worldly things, and I'm willing to admit that, but as a character, he was decent.

I can't see Slippy being a playable character, but he could be a good assist trophy, piloting an Arwing, or a robot of some sort. Peppy just talks now. He doesn't even have a southern accent anymore. He's lost my respect.

Just my opinion, but I think the villain/rival and love interest/damsel-in-distress would trump the aging mentor and comic relief.

I still think it would be odd to have 2 or 3 Starfox characters as canines. Falco with two Fox-like animals would just seem unbalanced to me. Besides Slippy has been an important character in every Starfox game. Slippy deserves a spot in the roster.

Krystal is just there to look "sexy" at this point. She doesn't contribute much to the games other than being the only main girl character. And Wolf is a rival, not a villain. Theres a difference! Andross is the villain, he hired Wolf after all. Wolf wouldn't care about Fox if it wasn't for Andross. And his group is similar to Fox's, therefor he is a rival.

This was briefly mentioned earlier, but I don't think that 4 Star Fox Characters is too many, either. Look at the Mario characters (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, DK, Yoshi, Wario, and maybe more?). Granted, the Mario series is the "bread and butter" of Nintendo, but nobody can deny Star Fox's great success over the years.

Two more SF characters wouldn't hurt in the least.

Unrelated: I was surprised to see this topic bumped, due to it's age, but not at all unhappy. Looking back on when I made this topic, it was a better/happier/more fun time in my life. It may sound strange, but seeing my original post made me feel happy.

I'd love to see Peppy in! I always have since the SSB64 days since he was my fave Starfox character. I'd like to see him as more of a powerhouse than his alles. A younger version of him would be better than his SFox Adventures version IMO. Anyway, Peppy Hare for Brawl!
