Unless you're powershielding a projectile, powershield doesn't remove any of the shieldstun, so powershielding and then grabbing is exactly as fast as a normal shieldgrab.

I agree completely with the sentinment of the op, there's been certain confusion about the workings of power shielding, especially in commentary. Also to add to the op, psing usually makes shieldgrabbing even harder since it increases push back and can often cause your grab to miss. Though if your opponent tries to overshoot, the push back can be beneficial.
