Peach is very hard to kill when she's on a spring, in custom stages at least.
If you hold down when you land on a spring, she will begin floating while still in the spring. Then if anyone hits you, she will hit the spring immediately, suffering no knockback, and as long as you're holding down she'll float again. Her down aerial can still hit people nearby, but obviously it makes it tricky to clear... you'll need to leave your safety zone occasionally. Plus, it's a jerky thing to do to just sit there on the spring the whole game.
I just thought some people might not know this yet.
Other characters whose down aerials take them straight down can do similar stuff (sonic especially; he can summon a spring and repeatedly down aerial on it), but not nearly as reliably as Peach (they can get knocked off of it pretty easily).
