um, yeah, they're no magical technique

make sure ur hitting jump before you move to control stick for the wd though, otherwise you turn around

you shine then wave dash but press the jump first?...do you have to go kinda not fast or something?

you are probably used to waveshining while holding your control stick in one direction. The proper way to wavedash/waveshine is to do a seperate motion each time meaning the control stick should be moved back into the neutral position after each wavedash. Sooo.... yeah.. though I'm surprised you didn't know this with 786 posts and being a tourney director ><

hey hey, I just started playin falco about a month ago...I mained Ganon and CF forever...this is new to meh.

Are there advantages to not turning around during a waveshine?

It certainly looks nicer, and I suppose if you really want to be able to pull a back air out directly afterwards, then you have to. But otherwise, it doesn't seem all that terrible. I feel like I've seen a lot of pros turn around.
