Pauline possible appearance?

Yes this is about the old school girl from Donkey Kong.

This isn't ABSOLUTE evidence or anything like this. It's just something that came to my attention and I wanted to get some opinions on it.

The was an update on the Nintendo 3DS street pass puzzle swap game, with new panels. (Will just post when it was updated below)

It just looks like she has a new makeover and I know this was updated after the Smash 4 roster was completed but it just got me thinking. I wanna know everyone's opinions~

I guess I shouldn't of used the word makeover, I meant like updated model. It just got me thinking something could happen with her in Smash 4 cause I never thought about it before. If not I actually hope they do something with her in newer Mario series things. Maybe put her in the new Mario Kart?? o.o

In any event, lots of stuff has began and ended since SSB4's development. Even then, i don't think it matters much. Unless we are talking about a series such as Pokemon or Fire Emblem which has new faces every game, the characters chosen for Smash Bros are dictated by their own merit and not necessarily recency.

We have Peach, although they are different characters but Peach is basically a replacement as the wiki says for pauline.

Is it this exact design? I'm not trying to say anyone's wrong or anything. I haven't played the Mario vs Donkey Kong games either, but just in the puzzle swap it looks like a more up to date version of it.

I've only seen her the Mario Vs. Donkey Kong games, but at the same time, she doesn't belong in the Mario or DK universe.

No I mean, even if she was spotted partially in some background why does it matter? Then again, compared to the Brawl hype I'm considerably less involved with the lack of dojo updates so I guess it's my fault for forgetting how desperate we get for talking points.

That's actually a good question. I have no clue o.o

I would say she would be a DK character, since the 75M stage in Brawl is classified as DK, so I figure Pauline would be the same.

She could be pretty unique and fun if she utilized the wind-up toys from the Mario vs. DK games in her moveset.

I think she has a (probably low, but still possible) chance to be a somewhat unexpected retro-ish character.

I mean I didn't know this until googling it, but ya coulda googled this before making a thread about it. I think that you just wanted to show off the new puzzle or whatever. No...the two pictures ACTUALLY look different to me. I don't wanna just show off a puzzle, I don't see the point in that. I think it's different because it looks different to me. There's no need to come in here and try to start trouble.

In all seriousness though the puzzle shows Pauline with maybe slightly less eye makeup.
Then again the puzzle picture is so blurry I can't even make out her nose.

The Pauline in the Puzzle picture looks a bit more refined then the one shown on the Wikia. Also looks like the one in the puzzle has darker hair. And the puzzle one looks like she has bigger boobs. Also the dress she has in the puzzle one seems to have some kind of dimons going around the waste area. Otherwise it is still the same general design.

Guess we'll have to wait for a non blurry screenshot.
It looks like they rendered the characters on a computer with a white light shining on them,
and then pasted the models as flat images onto the 3DS.
Like what they did with the sprites in DK Country.

Man, pick a hair color and stick with it. Her appearance for the most part has stayed the same,
except now she has jewely on her wrists and ears.

Come on Nintendo, you have other females that aren't LoZ, and Mario characters. Peach, Daisy, Zelda, Dixie Kong, Samus, Krystal, Palutena, and Mona all could have been in that picture.

And red lips! Eyup! Alt Peach with the red dress should have all the complete Pauline color scheme.
Personally I'd love to see Pauline in the new Mario Kart for Wii U (I'm so glad they kept the motorbikes. Mario's princesses are so hot in their bike suit, and red strips on white suit is the hottest <3) but in SSB4? Naa! Just as a trophy and/or a background character. No more.

There's no way she'll ever be a playable character. I seriously don't understand how one 3D model of her from Mario VS Donkey Kong adds "speculation" she'll be a character.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything. I could actually see her as an assist trophy. Running back and forth yelling out the big HELP! words from Donkey Kong arcade. If the words hit you, you get damaged.
