Patch 1.06 may have actually fixed hat/costume drops

Previously before the patch, I couldn't get any new hats after playing for weeks. But now, I got my remaining 4 in a single day. I highly doubt this is a coincidence, yet do not have the means to look into the code to see how often mii custom items drop before and after the patch. If someone can look into this, I would be interested in the results.

Apparently playing as Mewtwo gets you more hat and costume drops....

Hmm, there might be something to this. I played like 30 rounds of crazy orders over the past few weeks without getting any hats. I assumed I must have been down to the last one. Today I played again, and I noticed that I finally got a new hat!

And then I got the message that I have collected 40 hats... Which means I have 15 more to go...

If I get another hat or two after a few more rounds, I would be convinced.

This seems to be true, I just got all the hats after the patch. I hope this goes for the 3DS version has well because I still miss some random hat there.

Yep it's true. Would've been nice for them to do that earlier.
At least I 100%ed the game, and I'm free of all the terrible single player modes.

Yeah I noticed this too. Got two hats I was missing on 3DS. I was also lacking in Pokémon equipment for Mewtwo, and I seem to get more of it now. I also got more custom moves on Wii U, while I rarely got new ones before.

I did do one Crazy Orders run with Mewtwo, but I only got one new custom special, and no new headgear.
