Pacific West Events in July besides Genesis 2?

So I'm coming to Genesis 2, and on plan on visiting other places during my trip, would be nice to participate in other smash events while I'm there. Here are the exact dates for my trip:

12 July - Arrival at San Francisco, staying at the Ramada Inn in Antioch until -
19 July - Flying to Los Angeles and staying there until -
26 July - Flying to Las Vegas
29 July - End of trip, Flying back

I prefer Melee but I play both, will not come to Brawl-only events.

Edit: Yeah I'm aware of the pacific west tournament listing forum, but here I'm also looking for small smashfests that might not be listed there.

It's hard to say what will happen that far in advance, but it's good to know.

The way so cal works, there might be a tourney that saturday after you fly to LA. Are you going to need any housing or anything from any smashers? Or do you have other plans to travel and see stuff on your own during those weeks?

Housing would be awesome, this trip is already uber expensive

While in LA I plan on going to the natural history museum, six flags magic mountain, disney and universal.

So Cal is normally pretty good about getting people housing. Again, it's hard to say what'll happen because it's so far away and people aren't sure of their summer plans.

I live right new disneyland and could maybe house you a night or two (might even be able to pull some strings and get you in free ). We'll see what other say, but so cal is all about doing things the day before, so maybe if you don't hear from others, make sure you bump this thread late june/early july.

Mmmm, this maybe a bit problematic because if I don't have housing solutions I'll need to reserve hotel rooms and I don't want to do that at the last minute.......

Events are generally posted between a month ahead of time, unless it's a bigger event.


I host BiWeeklies in Southern California, so there will definitely be a tournament when you're down here.

The tournament is approaching fast and it would help me greatly to know when and where I can find smashfests/tournaments besides G2 that match my schedule so I can plan the rest of the trip better.
