EDIT: Tested with unpatched 3DS-version and patched Wii-U Version. I can confirm this. Galaga Tractor Beam comes much faster and instantly on the startup.

I haven't noticed that the Bonus Fruits and the smash attacks are faster... Maybe placebo effect? For me it feels that they have the same speeds as before.

It's just the animation that has been changed. Not the actual hitboxes and stuff. (Why Sakurai.)

Just a comparison between 3ds and wii u (grab was always slower on 3ds, blast zones were bigger on 3ds...)
