You can upload them to miiverse after with the game closed. The 3DS does a restart to free up memory. If they're saved on the SD card you're fine. Just have to do it when the game is not running.

Noticed it in the demo. Apparently streamers noticed too. It also takes a bit longer to suspend when you press home. The game uses all the power the OG 3DS has. First game like this.

As a conseqence, no in-game suspended miiverse photos.

Also noticed that the system restarts if you go to the Home menu and close the game manually.

Interesting. Doesn't really matter too much to me as I don't ever really use those apps, but it does suck that I won't be able to use them if I ever needed them. It's definitely a good thing that the game is pushing the 3DS to its limits!

Don't see why this is a big deal at all
It's not, but it sure seems thread worthy and it will incovenience some. No prior 3DS game had to do this. No need to get defensive. It's good that Bamco pushed the 3DS so hard.

Interesting indeed I guess. Though how much is the limit to booting the demo up though? For some reason I can't see the limit....

There is no limit for this demo! Maybe next week's will have one.

Does this mean no Miiverse-screenshots?

Unless taking Snapshots and sending them to internet is the only way.

Or to the album...
I think it works like in Animal Crossing: Wild World at its launch. Save them to your SD card and upload them later, with Smash 3DS closed.

Miiverse 3DS wasn't up then of course so you had to use a Wii U. Probably not the case here.

Ugh, that means no taking screenshots of menus...

Or high scores in Stadium modes either.

It's interesting. I'm glad someone pointed it out. If you don't like this topic then go visit one of dozen threads devoted to begging for demo codes.
Rather than just saying its interesting and then being rude you could have actually said why it's interesting.

You can probably insert your SD card into a PC and upload pics from there (if they're same format as other pics you can take on 3DS)

Just use this. This is a worthwhile sacrifice to even get it running on 3DS, I would have done the same in development. This game really pushes the hardware to its absolute limit, in-game Miiverse, Internet Browser, instant home suspend, and exited not restarting the system were great but this had to happen. Bandai Namco must have needed the RAM.

It means you can't take pictures of certain things.

Maybe you don't find use in it, but some people would like to be able to take pictures of high scores, character endings, unlocking characters, etc. And some people enjoy posting the pictues to Miiverse, for themselves.

It's also more convenient in some instances, for in-game shots. Especially if you want to share the pic RIGHT then, in the moment. You just upload directly to Miiverse and from there (on PC) can save to the computer or share on all the different social networks (should that be something one wants to do).

Otherwise, you have to save it to the SD card and then either plug that into a computer, copy it, then upload it OR save to the SD card, turn the game off, go into the internet browser, go to the Nintendo image sharing site, upload the picture to each place individually.

It's also just weird/interesting because no other game does this.

Obviously this won't matter for a lot of people, but it obviously affects people because it -does- serve a purpose.

Though I do understand why, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disgusted that the game favors a console I don't intend to get.

My pettiness and my common sense are at war with each other.

Thank you for giving me an actual answer.
