Well, here's my story: My Wii broke a while ago, so I've been playing and enjoying my games through Dolphin Emulator v4.0.2, and one of my games is Brawl. I had always liked the idea of modifying the game to have more personalized characters, (like new models and costume colors), and I felt like normal brawl was a lot different than my first smash game I had played, Melee. I had heard of Project M, so I set up the emulator and followed several tutorials, got Project M working 100%, and I played. Now, I am trying to use custom characters, movesets, and stages from Brawl Vault, but whenever I open Gecko and my Virtual SD card, all that loads is Project M. Please help!

Did you remove the Project M RSBE01.gct file from the /codes/ folder, and replace it with one containing only the codes you need (file patch code, etc.)?

I completely wiped my Virtual SD, and put in everything I had on a custom RSBE01.gct, anything else I should try?

I think I might try using the 'A Guide to replacing Costumes in Project M' and try replacing the movesets too. Any help is still accepted! The guide didn't work... Please help!

uh. sorry this is going to be one of those 'are you sure it's turned on at the wall' kind of questions. but i need to ask to be sure.

You're not using a PM ISO, then adding the mod files into the SD after, right?

It's a good question(Something I would ask), but no, I'm not using a PM iso. Just my Brawl iso with the virtual SD.
