Okay, this is a noob post basically. It's pretty obvious how to do OoS B-ups like DK and such. But specifically on P:M Peach. I cannot for the life of me do OoS smashes. OoS Dsmash in particular. How do you do them? If I just try inputting the c-stick while in shield it will just make me jump or dodge. Let me know if this is posted in the wrong place and you can just move it. Thanks.

I think upsmash is the only jumpcancelable smash attack. You can jump out of shield so, yeah...

He's asking about Peach, people. Peach works differently.

OP, to do DSmash OOS, you have to jump, then immediately double jump. Peach actually goes down at the very beginning of her second jump, which puts you back on the ground, ready to act.

Other characters, with normal double jumps, can only UpSmash and UpB OOS, along with anything else you can do out of a jump.

i've never seen it used for faster platform access though, it's faster than a waveland by ten frames, granted with no movement but ten frames is a big enough difference to compensate. I wonder why that is.

Maybe because you need to still have your 2nd jump to do it^^
And the timing kinda feels hard. Not to mention a failed double jump land is more punishable than a failed waveland.

If you watch good Yoshis like Vman and Amsa in Melee they double jump land on platforms all the time
