Xsyven Edit: The link in this thread contains pretty graphic images. I'm not going to close the thread, since its a good topic-- but the video has NSFW language, and images. It's a little bit disturbing to watch, so I removed it from this post. Look it up and watch at your own discretion.

Here is the article along with the video. This is one of the few videos that hit the net. Many camera phones were confiscated after the execution of Oscar Grant. Lawl to the boys in blue killing someone while they lay on their stomach with their hands behind their back. As these horrific examples of police brutality continue as they have in the past it is only a matter of time before 187 becomes synonymous with 911.

****, this is ridiculous and something i see all the time. especially in when I lived in Queens, NY. Police go way too far with their authority, but this is often overlooked because they are "supposed" to be a symbol of order and conduct. i'm glad you posted this though because so many are blind to these issues.

nice read

The way I see it the look on the officers face tells you it was a accident. He either mistook his gun for his taser or it was a accidental discharge. If his aim was to kill the man it wouldn't have happened like that.

Accedent my azz. There is a big difference between a tazer and a gun that is noticeable by feel then just looks. What this murder shows is how a power trip can easily be taken out of hand.

I added a small disclaimer at the beginning-- its a good topic to talk about, but the video is a little disturbing.

That's just awful. Man. Some people just get so caught up with their power. It's just not fair, especially for his daughter. =(

I can't even stand watching the video. Police brutality is out of hand. If they'd shoot a man who did nothing, imagine what would have happened if anyone would have tried to interfere. Especially since it would have been for the right reasons.

Ha. The video should be linked to in the End of the World thread, because I swear to God this kind of **** is what's going to do it.

This is why I distrust cops.

I think I mentioned this story, but in Louisiana on New Years, this guy was visiting from Texas and was out at around 3. 6 Plain clothes officers approached his car. Adolph Grimes was shot 14 times. 12 of the shots were in his back. The coroner reports there was no gunpowder on his fingers despite police saying he shot first. Best of all? Grimes was a 22-year-old father of a 17-month-old whom he loved. He had no criminal record and legally owned the gun. He also taught bible school on Sundays.

Like Grimes, Grant was just a victim. Watch the video closely, Taser or not, neither were even necessary to restrain Grant. He was actually thrashing LESS than the "Don't Tase me, bro" guy. If I am not mistaken, with this case, there was a fight and black people were arrested and witnesses started filming. Grant just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and that sucks. 22 years over.
