Opinion On The HORI Battle Pad?

I'm getting a WiiU for Christmas and needed to decide whether I wanted a PDP or a HORI battle pad (I wan't allowed to get a game cube and adapter as my mum didn't see the point). I just want to hear from people who have used them to see what one people prefer.

TL:DR
I Bought a HORI as I saw bad reviews for PDP did I make a good decision?

I have a HORI battle pad and haven't had any problems with it. I think it's about the closest thing to a Gamecube controller without actually being one. It also has the added benefit of working for any games that are compatible with the classic controller; I've used it to play Mario Kart 8 and Brawl too.

It's no gamecube controller. It's not terrible though

Yeah the hori ones imo are better than pdp. They look more like the official GC remotes and has improved shoulder buttons that are a little better for smash4. That and has a more sensible texture that wont get all smudgey from sweat like the glossy pdp ones.

And with that, and all the reasons mentioned above. its a cool controller ^^ have fun~
