Only hitting with the first hit of the Uair

EDIT: See third post

Here's a weird/random thing about the uair that I came across, that's been giving trouble when it comes to juggling people with the uair:

If you do your uair very early in the jump, you increase your chance of ONLY hitting with the first, weak, useless hit by alot.
In fact, if you go to YS and place someone on top of the top platform and do a fulljump Uair below (and time the uair early enough, the timing is strict tho so it might take several tries) you will ONLY hit with the first hit.
it has nothing to do with DI. This happens to me all the time even when I just mess around with dummies that noone is controlling (not even a cpu)

This is really weird and ********. Does anybody know why this happens, or has anyone else had problems with this? >.>

You're right, this makes zero sense. So you do the Uair EARLIER in the jump and you only get that first "slap?" I can only see this happen if you start the attack closer to the top of your jump. That is what happens to me if I don't do it early enough. On a side note, I remember reading an old thread back in my lurking days about the Uair. It was about timing it so you only get the second hit to avoid SDI on the first hit. Crazy timing.

After a whole bunch of testing and thinking i've reached to a conclusion to why this happens:
When you do an arial on the first frame of your jump, your jumping height is decreased (for whatever stupid reason). If you stand under the left platform of the yoshi 64 stage (thats banned) and do a fulljump, you'll land on the platform. You can even do an arial and you will still land on the platform. BUT if you jump and do the arial on the first frame you won't.

So, I'm assuming that the first weak hit sends your opponent slightly up. So if you hit them with the tip of it, they'll go up and the second hit will just barely miss. UNLESS your char is still moving upwards from the jump, which they aren't with this shortened jump (I'm assuming)
^^Not 100% on this but it's the only logical answer

Note: I'm not 100% sure that its on the first frame since I dont have AR. I tested it through jumping and pausing, and then pressing up on the c-stick (while still holding jump). Now, if you press a button while the game is paused, that button press will be registered on the frame after the unpause. The only times I successfully got a shortened jump was when I pressed up-c while I was still on the ground, meaning that the next frame must've been the first airborne frame. (if you do this to early you'll get a jc usmash). So I'm like, 99.99% sure.

Not sure if anyone cares but since I discovered it i thought oh well i might aswell share it
