Online username and data help

Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with an issue I've been having with online play and I guess my DS in general. Whenever I play online with friends, my username and personal mii appears as one that I had made years ago and since deleted. However on my DS, it shows the correct updated username and mii. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this? It's not a big deal or anything but it's pretty annoying nonetheless. Thanks!
