Online Ranking System?

I believe it would extend the online experience if Sakurai added a rank system. It wouldn't need to be overly complicated just win a few matches, gain a level, loose a few loose a level. The levels could be like 1-100 where gaining levels from 1-25 is easy, 25-50 is your common player, 50-75 is very hard, and 75-100 is extremely hard.

I hate it when people do that, even when its a 4 person free for all.

However, if he made it so that if you disconnect you lose points, like more than you normally would, like minus 5.

I think ti would be like
1-100 points-rank 1
101-250-rank 2
251-500-rank 3
501-1000-rank 5
1001-~-God


Like each win is one point, and if you beat someone above your rank you would get 1 point if there one above your rank, 2 if there two above your rank ect. If you lose, you get -0 if your in second, -1 in thrid, -2 for fourth place. You would lose extra points if the person who beat you was above your level.

People could get other friends to play accounts they can beat up though and rack up points. Either way your not going to avoid corruption in an online game.

Just make it auto level down when/if you disconnect >_>. Gunbound uses a similar system

Sakurai has given us every indication in the past that there will not be an online ranking system in Brawl. Perhaps there will be an internal one of sorts to set you up best with someone in With Anyone matchmaking, but there won't be leaderboards and stuff.

And as much as you may like it, it's really for the best for general gameplay. There would be WAY too many disconnected games by people to keep their record perfect and that would be no fun.
