me and everyone else i know are having real bad problems with the online play being super laggy. I'm seeing alot of people on the forums looking for matches, and i was wondering are some people not getting lag or are you guys just trying to play with lag?

Play through the lag, typically getting a player on the same coast will reduce your lag tremendously because supposibly, the connections are Wii-to-Wii at the moment, and Nintendo is putting servers up..

Then one of your connections are boned, or are being interfered with.

I played a friend in Arkansas, and my connection dipped to lag, I played someone 5 miles away, and not a single hint of lag.

This has been all night, for the past 16 hours or so.

Well I can give you a suggestion. Its a good idea to get a Nintendo Wii Lan Adaptor, so that you will have a wired connection. Wired connections are better, and have less interference then a wireless connection. This may not be necessary if you have a really nice wireless connection, but I can imagine some people probably have their wireless like 2 rooms away from their wii, a bad wireless router, or they are playing with the garbage Nintendo wifi adaptor, so if you think your connection might not be up to par, then you should look into getting a Lan adaptor.

No reason to pretend the lag doesn't exist. This is one of the most talked about problems with the game so far, and pulling the "it's your connection" card is not as helpful as you may think.

My Wii is like 50 feet away from my router and the game is unplayable online with my friend who lives .6 miles away. He says my signal is red and I can't seem to fix it so I'm going to buy a Wi-Fi LAN thing.

It's not your problem, it's nintendo's. Don't waste money trying to fix something that is inheritly unfixable on your part. Nintendo needs to add servers that are half decent. That's it.
If they don't, then Brawl will stay as a laggy game.
