Can anyone confirm whether or not you will be able to play matches other than 2min battles with items because i am a no item stock person myself.

In "With Anyone" mode, no.
In "With Friends" mode, yes. You can do pretty much all the basic customization in Friends mode as you would in normal Brawl.

Well you can play with no Items in "With Anyone", but not change to Stock Match =/

"With Friends" you can do everything ... except playing on stages from the Stage Builder ...

will it ever be possible to play stock in with anyone mode cuz thats kinda anoying
