Online Matchmaking and Connection

Hello, guys.
I'm kinda new here, and I'm still getting used to the forums and stuff, but I have an Issue that I think is not just mine (if this is the wrong place, please tell me).
I'm from Brazil, and bought the game last week. Since I bought my system I'm using an USA Nintendo Account to have access to the eShop. But I'm wondering if this country choice is also used for Smash Bros. Online Matchmaking.

I think the connection problems are an issue for everyone, but I noticed that my matches are all laggy. Are other people having this problem too? Should I create an different account just because of this, or is it a Nintendo problem, not mine?

I have a terrible 1.5 mbps internet speed and my games aren't as laggy as you'd think.

the online feature is fuked mate, you're from brazil.. you're screwed.

I'm using a 100mbps connection in australia, completely unable to play

Your best bet would be trying to add friends from your country and play against them.

Ok, thanks for the answers guys. I'll try to find more brazilians that MIRACULOUSLY had the chance to get the game. Schedule for arrival here is today. 3 weeks after official launch. Only GOOD stores imported the game, so there should be only a few smashers here, what could be a problem.
