Online Character Tournament Discussion

I had this thought just now of seeing who is the best with a certain character character. What if smaller online tournaments were scheduled with the best players of different characters and faced each other to see who plays better with their main, like NAKAT, FOW, Awestin, etc. being in a Ness bracket for instance. I know just doing ditto matches wouldn't be a good way to see who plays better with their main, but I'm not sure how else this would work. What do you guys think? Any other ideas pertaining this? I just think it would be cool if there was a top 10/50/100 list for each character to see who's the best of the best with their mains.

The best way to do it would be to pit all of them against all of the other best characters to see how they do, however, this can't happen because of a sequence that isn't fulfilled by itself. It's complicated and sadly can't happen, so for now we just judge it on results. This would be cool to see, but wouldn't be an accurate way of showing who has the best ness or any character for that matter.
