One thing that bugs me about custom stages...

In my search to make a custom P:M build, there's one thing that kept bugging me - There's hardly any stages with hazards.

There were a few good ones, like Mewtwo2000's tilting Bowser lava stage, but most others I see are just stagnant. Especially considering that almost every past stage has been successfully remade from scratch, I'm kind of surprised and disappointed.

I may be a competitive player, but I do like to get crazy sometimes, so while using the stage expansion kit, I don't want to just have a bunch of Final Destination clones.

If there's any I missed, what hazardous or unorthodox stages do you make or use?

Sitting on a chair, letting my eyes burn.
If I'm not mistaken, I remember someone saying that making custom stage hazards that didn't already exist in some form is extremely difficult, if not near impossible. Falling floors is something I know Mewtwo2000 is really good at, before I knew about PM I played Ganon's Tower a lot.

yeah, coding the stage so that it damages the player hasn't been perfected yet. Simply importing a stage from melee that had hazards doesn't mean those hazards carry over.

Stage hazards remain relatively unexplored in the realm of brawl hacking, so it's incredibly difficult to add your own hazards to a stage that didn't originally have one. Most likely it will remain this way as stage hazards aren't popular enough to warrant the effort/ research anyway.

I really like hazards as well, they add a very unique flavor to a stage. I am working on implementing "custom" hazards into stages. You can create custom stage hazards through clever use of collisions as well as manipulating pre-existing hazards. Here's a very WIP stage that does this.
Note: this stage is an alpha version at best. It still needs a ton of work before it I'll even consider releasing it :p

That looks very promising. Let me know when it's ready!
