OK I've posted videos before, but I only got one or two responses. I've never been to a tournament, so I'm not very good, but just tell me what I need to work on most.. I've already been told to do more dash dances and less wavedashes.

Match 1 FD: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQNdlYUfSZI
Match 2 Yoshi's Island: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fluOpiOyKM
Match 3 Battlefield: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2N9McJaWRQ
Match 4 Corneria: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--v1mCaAq2w

Thanks in advance.

Not bad, you got yourself a pretty good Marth, and some good opposing forces. As far as constructive critsism goes, might i suggest short hopping a bit more, you probobly know by now that Marth has a great set of airials. Another thing i want to point out is that you're not very aggresive as far as edge-hogging goes, I'm not realy either but at some points you could have gotten a well placed dair and a quick kill, or at least a more satisfying one. Another thing that is somewhat situational is smash-b'ing before you jump when you get knocked off the edge, why? Because it will give you a few more options when you get to the ledge. The situational part comes into play as it doen't slow you momentum down as much as jumping. DashDancing isn't very important on the stages you have shown, but can help on larger ones like Dreamland 64. I also feel that you use your up-b a bit too much than you should, although it can be a great finisher at the higher percentages, it can be very situational and far as execution.

And just a little tip on Corneria, instead of jumping under the wing-thing and using a nair, use a uair if you want a little more range, just make sure to fast fall and l-cancel

Note that all of this is based off of my stratage, which needs improvement, but dont we all?

Thank you for the help, but I hope you don't take offense if I ask from someone who's been in the community a little longer. I know this is sort of a bump, and it's a bad thing to do, but there's a tourney at my school next week (which is going to be my first, though it's not against very advanced players) and I'd like some more help.

Sorry for the semi-bump again, but I'd just like someone to either confirm what kirbyatic said is right or give more advice. This is the only time I'll do this. I promise.

I am not trying to be mean but that was definitly not by ay means good. I dont feel like writing a essay like the other guy but i just make a few points. Yes, definitly shffle more, use upthrown combos or just any combo, betting edge guarding and recovery, and wow, stop killing yourself.
Oh yea, i only saw the vid in yoshi's story sorry

I watch 2 videos and I think I have seen enough. There are 3 issues that require more work than others.

1. Shielding. Sometimes you shield at horrible times. You see them fulljump and while they are not even at the peak of their jump your already shielding. Why? If you have that much time you can dashdance out of the way and grab them or attack right after they land. Or just shffl a fair, upair. or just uptilt as they are coming down, since most characters weak point is when your underneath them.

2. Stationary. You are way to stationary after everything you do. When you shffl you just land and stand there sometimes. Learn some fluidity in your motions. Practice shffls to immediate dashes/other shffls. That way if you hit them where you can't follow it up with a fsmash you will be able to follow them and combo. Dash dance more, learn to shffl out of shield. It's safer than shieldgrabbing once you get better at the game.

3. Less prediction, more reaction. A lot of times you threw out fsmashes when they were in the air expecting them to fall on it. a) a majority of players expect something like this, learn to bait them and punish their dodge attempts. b) You fsmash way too early. I don't even think if they fastfalled you would of hit them with it, work on watching your opponent when trying to hit them with attacks. You will find that you will get fooled less and connect with hits more.
